Orion allows for smoother and more controlled lowering and lifting of a pickup truck's tailgate. The damper prevents the tailgate from slamming down and becoming deformed. The design distributes the load to other mounting elements. The kit includes a gas strut, a bracket, and all necessary fasteners made from high-strength materials. The pneumatic support has hinged joints that allow it to be installed in the factory mounting points on the body. The kit is compatible with GMC Sierra 1500, 2500, and 3500 models from 1999–2006, as well as with Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Classic.
