When the windshield cannot be repaired, it must be replaced. The process is not easy, as the glass sealant holds the glass very firmly to the edges. A special tool is used to remove the glass. It has a hardened tip that is inserted into the base of the glass, and a cable that drives the tip.  This hammer is made of steel and plastic. The length of the tip is 25mm and the length of the cable is 180mm.
